What do you think? The Macbook Air 2018 (which I've been eyeing) is of course more expensive and not quite as well equipped.

The MacBook Air has some advantages: it has a completely different operating system and that's the most important thing, it has a better display, better ForceTouch TrackPad, better keyboard, better speakers, faster memory, better battery life, TouchID, it's much thinner and lighter and is extremely high quality processed.

In terms of performance, however, it is much lower, because the MacBook Air is above all a good overall package and it is designed for mobility. The Aldi computer, however, designed only for performance. So the question arises, what do you need the device for?

I would not recommend both. The MacBook Air is next to the MacBook Pro, which costs almost exactly the same, extremely bad there. The Aldi calculator is so huge and heavy, because you can buy a desktop right away, because you get much more for your money.

The Aldi laptop is 1) worth its money, and 2) well suited for playing. If you want to play, definitely take the Aldi, because on the Mac you can play much fewer games.

If you do not care about games, decide whether you prefer to work with Windows or MAC.

PS: And if it does not necessarily have to be a laptop for you, so even a desktop PC in question, you will of course get much more power for less money, moreover, desktop PCs do not break as fast as laptops. I would then recommend you the https://hardwarerat.de/...er=SW10131 of hardware advice.

Or if you do not play anyway, but only use Internet and multimedia, even https://hardwarerat.de/...-8gb/240gb is enough for only 330 EUR.

Lots of good information from Dir Mc. Rastaman, nice and helpful answer, thanks for that. ))

The Macbook Pro? Yes, I found one at otto, also has good rating:
The Apple Macbook pro 2018, 15.4 inches, intel-core i7, radeon-pro, 512 SSD.

For me a lot of memory is important and a good graphics card and of course, that the computer is fast, the battery lasts long. I suppose that the Macbook everything is firmly welded and therefore the components are not interchangeable?
I do not need the notebook mainly for games, but nevertheless performance is important to me, in case I want to play in between. Mainly photo editing and music. So a good sound card should have the device too.

Have an HP OMEN by HP 15-dc0005ng gaming notebook »Intel Core i7, 39.6 (15.6") 256 GB + 1 TB, 16 GB «in the eye.

I'm used to Windows, but still have an Apple Mac in the bedroom. I wanted to use the notebook as a mobile device. So far I have a Dell, but the keyboard works, then again not, now would be even the third battery due and so slow my Dell is getting old. Therefore, of course, a Macbook would fit.

What bothers me about the Macbook, the new operating system is High Sierra, I still have Sierra on the PC and with High Sierra, it should be somewhat problematic.

Yes, I myself have no experience with the MACs, because I like to work with Windows. Still, I've heard a lot of good from MAC and their devices usually have a long shelf life.

As you describe it now, I would also recommend the Macbook Air 2018 to you, which seems to suit you best, Leila. ))

PS: If your laptop is permanently on the power, you can take out the battery with many laptops, and connect with power cable. Otherwise it is not good, if the battery is full and power is still connected, then recharges the battery every 10 minutes, because of 1% or so…
