System Encryption Windows 10 with VeraCrypt?

I encrypted my system partition with VeraCrypt. VeraCrypt also shows me that the whole drive is encrypted. But I go to the workplace in Windows appears at drive C: a conclusion that is open. What does that mean? Know that only from BitLocker. This is not activated anymore. VeraCrypt is also running on my laptop. Also there's the whole disk encrypted funny enough it shows there but no open conclusion with drive C. An.

Could that be that it shows me an open lock because I used to have BitLocker?

Ha

I think that this is just a bug of Bitlocker, because my current hard drive is Veracrypt encrypted and does not have this lock. It may also be that you did not completely bitlocker-deschlüselt the hard drive but have only set the hard drive at startup decrypted automatically and then have made a Veracrypt encryption. But I see that as unimportant, so I'll start typing.

No that can def. Not be. I completely decrypted the disk. After that, the board loader was gone too. Then I encrypted with VeraCrypt as normal. Everything runs perfectly well, but the lock is funny. I do not know if it was always there or not. I noticed only after a while.

If VeraCrypt but the time is coded the whole C that will probably be (so I hope) synonymous?

Ha

Will be like that. Never had problems with it. I think that the icon is just stuck. If it bothers you, you can put an autorun.inf and ne icon.ico on your hard drive to change the icon if you know what I mean.

Ha

Not only does it bother me unsettling but I also think that the encryption reaches 100%. Have 3 disks, which is with the sensitive files C:. There are no partitions or anything else that could disturb or otherwise do anything, even if partitions should have 100% protection depending on the PW, so I suppose. I'm not a crypto specialist, but I've dealt with that as well.

If you are still unsure then just look at another PC if he can read without PW. Otherwise, everything should be ok.

I tested. I tried to restart the PC by means of disk or to have the disk displayed with the data via CMD. Is not visible.

Yes, then everything is fine. Have a good time!
