How do I format a win10 laptop that has been reset and now veracrypt blocks the boot process?

The colleague had veracrypt on it and put the pc back now it hangs at the beginning when entering the password directly after the start, but I still have the password when it is successfully entered as new… Can I format it completely and how? This is an asus rog strix hero edition, republic of gamers
