Windows 10 wrong video card (laptop)?

My laptop has 2 graphics cards in the Device Manager (both AMD). But if I go to Display Settings, then it displays under Advanced Display Settings Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. The two AMD graphics cards have the required drivers. How do I get the display output to use one of the AMD cards? The Microsoft Basic Adapter does not appear in Device Manager.
