If your laptop is that old it wouldn't be wrong to buy a new & current one. Now would be my suggestion.

There are also plenty of universal power supplies for laptops. You may have to adjust the tension correctly, but it also works…
Depending on the manufacturer, newer power supplies are compatible. Dell, for example, has had the same connector for many years.
