How long should a laptop power supply normally work?

I ask for a reason. Because my HP 17-y067ng laptop is now 1.5 years old and within the 1.5 years I already use my 2nd power supply! Because the original power supply has held me alas and crash for 10 months! Then it only started that the battery could only be charged if the laptop was off or in standby.

Because I got every time: "network operation, is not charged", displayed even though the battery level was already at 5%. And a week after this had begun, the battery has not loaded at all or got the laptop from the power supply no more power!

In a nutshell, I ordered a new power supply from HP via Media Markt, with the result that after about 7 months the new part starts giving up the ghost again! Because I can only recharge the battery when the laptop is on standby or off.

A few days ago, I have, because I see it coming, that this part is likely to give up his ghost in the next few days, now ordered the 3rd power supply!

So my good question: Should it really be normal that you need 3 power supplies within 1.5 years?

Because I'm surprised in the throwaway society so nothing more, but that the power supplies are produced so sloppy that they last no more than 10 months, I find a real mess despite all this, on the part of the manufacturer!

Considering how much unnecessary scrap is produced by it! As my grandfather once said: You used to buy an electrical appliance and it lasted up to 45 years! Today you buy a device and must be happy if it still works after 8, 9 months!

That's very unusual. For me, all the power supply by far survived the laptop. Even one which is misused in the meantime and have 5 years regularly deliver a lot of electricity runs without problems. 10 years old now.

Is it really the right adapter for your laptop? Voltage and current match or It can deliver more power than Max. Required?
Is it free in the operation and not covered with anything that it gets too warm?

No, Don 't worry. I took the old PSU to Media Markt and the dealer ordered the right one for me - so everything should be okay.
