I'm one of the most listeners of music and I'm also a drummer myself. But already ages ago I wanted to have such cool music as eg. NoCopyrightSounds produce themselves. But I never really knew what I needed for it.
Question: What does it take to produce very high quality music? Which programs, software, devices, etc. And what does that stuff cost?
Incidentally, a Windows 10 x64 bit notebook and also wanted to know if that is sufficient for programs such as Steinbach, etc., or a better PC would need?
So first of all the most important is a program and there you have a lot of options. I'll give you some: Ableton, Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Pro Tools. There are many others, but these are the most popular ones I think. Then you need good speakers zb. Yamaha HS8. An audio interface if you agree or want to record something else yourself. And um, well, if you ask, just ask. Haha
Go to the page "Abmischen lernen.de"
Since you get a lot of information
Otherwise, get in for a little money before you put a lot of money in the sand.
a cheap audio USB interface e.g. The Steinberg UR22 (around 130.-) Since Cubase is already included as a download) For weak-breasted USB laptop external power supply directly to buy.)
a decent dynamic microphone for vocals e.g. The Shure SM 57 or 58
Magix Music Maker as a sound program. https://www.chip.de/...42188.html
To try this is enough. Full version only 60 euro
You already have decent headphones
A complete and good studio equipment (just use what if you really know what you're doing) get advice from Musicstore or Thomann. For 10.000 euro it starts to become professional. (Prerequisite that a low-reflection and noiseless studio room is available, otherwise conversion costs are also on top of)
Your question contains two imponderables.
On the one hand, "listening to a lot of music" and playing the drums is not yet a qualification to be able to produce music in "the best quality" and on the other hand, in terms of features, only a laptop is a good start. You will never be able to fulfill this quality standard.
I advise you here, first to bake smaller rolls and you frieze there first a little purely. You can do that easily with the laptop. A good audio USB interface to it and a DAW (recording and mixing program) and so you can start and get familiar and develop a basic understanding. Of course, you still need input units for what you want to record like microphones, mixer, etc.
In order to get a professional quality you need of course not only the corresponding knowledge but also professional equipment and that quickly goes into the 1000s of Euro. If you have finished material as an alternative you can also search for a studio and record it there… But of course that costs accordingly.
You rent not only the equipment but also the technical know-how of the studio.
In summary: try buying an AudioUSB (between 100 and 150 euro, it should support monitoring and have both XLR inputs and jack inputs, so the cheap ones are not recommended) and with the free program Audacity, for which there's a lot of information material and Titorials on the Internet and a micro and if you simultaneously several microphones and or instruments operate a small mixer just to start. With a bit of reading in and some experiments there can certainly be something useful, but it remains "hobby or demon level". If it makes sense then you can build on it and see if and how this can be developed further. Have fun and good luck. Greeting
OK
Thank you so much.
