Can Microsoft Family Features monitor a laptop hotspot?

My parents have installed Microsoft family features on my laptop so that I can't do anything else during the online class. My question is if I can create a hotspot with my laptop that can then be monitored with family features and can check family features whether I create a hotspot?

It can be monitored, yes.

But they don't see that you are using it.
