For a further education I need a laptop - is enough the graphics card Nivida Quadro P2000 for 3 D planning?

Qu

Which program will you use?

tr
br

That's not bad and relatively modern.

It is based on the GTX 1050ti.

We have this computer in mind

tr

I once put the link from the calculator

br

Not a bad workstation. 👍

If I had to deal with it for work reasons I would want to take this too.

br

But only for work!

Privately, that would be too specific for me.

Qu

I mean what software for "3 D planning" you will use. Does it have to be a laptop or a PC possible?

Qu

Here you can save about 350 EUR:

Allplan

tr

The school uses Allplan.

Laptop is easier for transport if I have to take it to school.

tr

May I ask what that means - specific? -
After completing the exam is the calculator so not suitable for games?

br

That's the way it is… It's very specific (especially) for CAD application. The graphics chip was built and developed for this purpose, it contains special instruction sets for such programs.

In games, the graphics chip comes to about 50% of the graphics chip on which it is based… This chip is NOT designed for games.

br

The graphics chip is up to 80% faster than its counterpart, which is designed for games, but only in its intended programs such as CAD etc… In games, it only reaches about 50% of the performance of its counterpart which is designed for games.

br

So you buy a Formula 1 car which is TOP on the racetrack, but is completely unfit on the normal track (curbs, cobblestones, 4 people in the car, etc) … Or just very special.

tr

Thank you very much, it is only important to me that you can do it with me. Playing is not so important.
Important is the Cad program for architecture Allplan and Office Excel, Word and Power Point.

br

With pleasure. Have fun and success

tr

I'm so insecure - is there possibly a case in the Quadro T2000 or even the P3000 series that you can use the computer later for games?
Sorry - I'm so unsure if we're doing it right.
A dealer has also offered us to build a used for 1800 euro, I just do not know what graphics card he would build in there.
What would you recommend as a professional - used - or new - or - oh I'm desperate.

br

Policy statement:

Workstation GPUs are NOT designed for games!

But you can also play with it, but will not achieve the performance of a gaming video card.

Here is a video, but which represents a PC variant and thus again a whole lot better than the mobile version.

Following consideration:

I'm doing a training and spend for it ü2000 euro for a notebook which I presumably no longer need in this form afterwards (probably I get the work materials for my work from the employer). This is the same as people buy an Apple because they think they need it very much to determine then that an Apple is not a gaming notebook and compatible with about nothing.

Ergo, I would spend a minimum of necessity for training and then sell danch and buy me a notebook which corresponds to my personal needs.

tr

WillEsWissen64 and thanks again - to the info and possibly a feedback from you.

We bought.

Only for 1000 euro less.

br

Wow… Makes fun the device. Also in gaming.

Well then.

Have fun.
