I want to buy RAM for my laptop. SO-DIMM, DDR3 and 204pins are mandatory from the laptop. Is the JEDEC standard important and does it have to be the same? Currently I have JEDEC standard PC3-2800. Do I have to buy synonymous PC3-2800 RAM or is synonymous others?
Which notebook do you have exactly? (Manufacturer & complete model number)
Would you like to retrofit 1 to 2 modules to existing modules, or would you like to change completely?
When retrofitting while retaining the existing equipment I recommend, especially for notebooks, the acquisition of a (ideally completely) identical module.
I have that Dell Latitude E6430 and the RAM should be completely swapped. Say two new RAM bars, 2 * 4GB
This is a book with Intel's 2nd. Or 3nd. Gene. Processors. For this 2 × 4 GB DDR3 - 1600 (SO-Dimm - PC3 - 12800) with low latencies should be sufficient.
More DELL does not recommend for the Latitude E6430 series.
