Google images single display at once on the right?

Since a few days I have on my laptop the phenomenon that in the Google images display, a selected image is no longer unfolded down, as before, but right at once a column rises. On the one hand, the picture is still quite small, on the other hand, my scrolling speed goes down to 1/4 and when I open and close, I only have a short white display. Nerves extremely…

Does anyone know how to reset that or why that is? I have not found anything on Google yet.

I use Firefox on a Windows 10 PC.

Google probably tests new designs. Clear your Google cookies sometimes helps.
