Hi
On my laptop I deleted a partition and now there's a green area and there's "free space"
I would like to increase the system C: because there's little left and I could but the space to system C: zoom it?
Unfortunately, if I click on the system C: Right, the field with "enlarge partition" is gray and you can't click…
Do you have experiences?
Hope it works and can help me.
Besorg gparted and burn as live cd and thus start the pc. Then you can change all partitions. In the worst case you have to rewrite your boat sector if you change too much.
You can't increase C because this is the partition you are using, that's not enough. It is the Windows partition which can't even be so unused.
With the program GParted on a LiveBoot stick you could extend the partition. But be careful, GParted is really painless and does what you tell him, no matter if your system shatters or not.
Hui - Which cardboard nose did that configure? 😉
If you want to solve this safely and elegantly under Windows, then proceed as follows:
Make an image backup of your system hard drive. (Sure, before the "My Data's Off" howl starts!)
Use a partitioning program like "Acronis Disc Director" or the "Paragon Disk Manager" to extend the partition C by the unused 95 GB. (The latter can be found on magazines CDs / DVDs every now and then)
Of course, you could also completely reinstall Windows and at the same time repartition the hard drive - which should be more work, since you can reinstall all apps / games!
Acronis Disk Director would also be my favorite partitioning program. Even server can be safely partitioned with it…
