I have an external keyboard and an external monitor, but I want to use my laptop as a "computer". Can you set the laptop so that it can be closed, but it still runs and does not go into standby mode or lock itself?
This can be set in the "Energy saving plan settings" in the "Energy options" (power switch and folding)
If you use a docking station, you can connect all the equipment there - keyboard, screen, charger. And then the calculator can be used closed.
Control Panel Power Options, there you can choose what the computer does when you close the lid, press the off button. Ect.
Do the following.
Window key + R - Enter: powercfg.cpl - OK -
Select left: Select what should happen when the computer is closed -
Select when collapsing:
Setting the battery and mains operation: do nothing -
save Changes
