Which music program is best?

I would like to download music writing software to my laptop that can be used to write notes, create scores and insert lyrics. All of this on many instruments, especially the harpsichord. Ideally also with ensembles (brass / strings or similar). Is there a good FREE software for it?

If it can't cost anything, you should take Lilypond. This is the only free program that also enables professional music notation.

Otherwise, the paid Sibelius would be the right choice.
