How much ram can I upgrade?

I have installed an Intel Core i5 7300hq in my laptop and currently 8GB Ram.Wanted to use more ram and wanted to ask how much my processor can take.

How much RAM you can install depends on your motherboard. The RAM may be soldered and can't be replaced. Or you no longer have a free slot. If things are going well, you can just put a bolt on it.

What kind of laptop do you have?

The CPU can handle up to 64GB. The bigger question with laptops is always how much fits on the mainboard.

It depends on whether you need the additional RAM too! You can see whether your system is working at Windows under "Task Manager" and click on "Performance" above!

I recently expanded the RAM of 4GB 2133MHz to 8GB DDR4 on my HP Notebook 2016jg and I think that was necessary to keep the Lappi up to date.

I have no programs except Google and 6.5 GB of RAM is spent. (Have 8 GB)

Jo, I unscrewed the laptop and saw that you can remove and replace the RAM. Will I install 16GB soon or would 32GB make more sense?

As far as I know, only one slot is occupied and the other is free. So the most sensible variant would be that you only buy an additional 8GB RAM and make sure that it is DDR4 with 2400Mhz! You just leave the other one plugged in and thus come up to 16GB ;-) That's enough!

Something else important! It must be "SO-DIMM 260 pin"! The other DDR4 are too long in shape!
