Notebook for image editing?

I'm looking for a notebook that is as small and light as possible for image processing and some video editing with DaVinci Resolve. It should be a Windows device and if possible have a Thunderbolt 3 port.

I don't want to spend more than 1500 euro.

This is really complete nonsense. For video editing you need a big screen, something that does not go well with the claim of a small notebook.

Besides, why should the computer be portable? Going to McDonalds is definitely not the place to get professional results.

Image processing you do that at home on your desktop PC.

I don't necessarily think it has to be big… At least when it comes to image editing. The only important thing is that the screen is halfway sensible and calibrated. Otherwise you could also connect an external monitor.

I was very happy that I took my notebook with me to Heligoland. B. I could get started right after the tour. It was good that way…

From my own experience, I advise against a small screen. I have a 16-inch acbook Pro and even that sucks.

In addition, laptops reach their limits extremely quickly when editing video (if you also use color grading or similar setting levels). But you're right, the Windows computers are better off.

I would recommend the Microsoft Surface Laptop to you. Otherwise, gaming computers also work, they are usually a bit bulky but offer a lot of performance.

I would like to start editing the pictures while on vacation or when you are sitting on a ferry or on an airplane.

Just wishful thinking, try working with a laptop in the economy class. And have fun dragging along microphones and all of the cutting equipment.

Is the Iris Plus enough for my requirements?

Ba

It's not that I want to comment on videos and I don't have any extra equipment for video editing. On the plane, I'm mainly concerned with image processing.

Image processing does not need gaming graphics, since it depends more on single core performance, fast ssd and sufficient RAM.
