I can't create a channel banner on YouTube?

I recently started with YouTube and wanted to set up my channel a bit when I noticed that I can change my profile picture and my channel name, but can't set a channel banner. Neither on the laptop nor on the cell phone.

I've searched everywhere, I can't find anything in Google and a friend of mine who also does YouTube didn't know what to do next. How could I borrow it or how do I manage to set up a channel banner?

Maybe someone of you can help me.

It's got a little tricky…

You have to go to your YouTube channel and there in the settings of your Google account.
