What can I deduct from tax as a candidate in the dual study program?
I know that insurance policies that affect the profession, such as disability insurance, can be tax deductible. Can you sell them in full? So do you just get the contributions back?
If I buy a laptop for my studies and use it privately for my university (bachelor's thesis etc.), can it be taken off?
You never get back any amounts, at most you reduce the taxable income.
And for the laptop: you can estimate the percentage of your professional share as advertising costs
If you can deduct something, it means that the tax-free allowance increases.
I.e. You do not pay any taxes on the total of insurable insurances and you can get them back.
You don't get any contributions back.
How much do you earn in your dual studies that you pay so many taxes?
Advertising costs are included at € 200O a year, if I remember correctly. I.e. You have to prove the costs if you want to have included more.
The flat rate for advertising costs is 1000 not 2000 euro
The tax-free allowance does not increase.
Advertising costs are already included in the income tax at 1,000 euro.
If you can prove costs over 1000 euro, it will increase.
No, the taxable income is reduced
Up to 50% professional use are recognized without further ado (non-objection limit); professional use beyond this would have to be made credible.
What comes out the same.
Without further ado, that's why there's a questionnaire
No not at all
What questionnaire? 50% of students are always recognized…
Where is that
Did I miss something?
Nowhere and you have no legal claim to it - but to simplify administration, this is recognized by students up to 50% without further questions.
If this is not anywhere, no tax office needs to adhere to it…
I know from my professional practice that there's no case that a tax office has not recognized with 50% - the tax office's employees have no time for such trifles…
I can think of typical advertising costs for dual students: professionally used laptop (possibly as a depreciation), the travel costs to the university, the trips to the training company (distance allowance), possibly additional meals for days at the university, specialist books. But basically all other expenses that you have because you go to work / do this training, which are caused by your taxable income
Contributions to disability insurance are not advertising costs. This protects the private risk that you can no longer work. That would at best be special expenses (pension expenses). Most of the time, the maximum amounts are already exhausted by basic health insurance.
Professional insurance would be e.g. Accident insurance that covers accidents at work or liability insurance for work-related damage
the amounts only reduce taxable income, which is the basis of assessment for income tax.
accepted at the income tax deduction, taxable income of 15,000 euro was accepted by the above Amounts (or further advertising costs and special expenses…) then you only have a taxable income of 13,000 euro you will be reimbursed the income tax paid (wage tax) which is due on these 2,000 euro. So you would have paid around 1100 wages tax, but you only have to pay 620 euro income tax. This means that 480 euro will be reimbursed.
If you did not pay any wage tax during your apprenticeship because the remuneration was too low, you can of course not get a refund. If the advertising costs were higher than the gross income, the loss can be carried forward and offset later
Unfortunately nothing, because there's a flat rate for daddy, at least according to the BFH.
Only those who have paid wage / income tax can deduct. According to the question, there are none.
