So, currently it works, you always meet at home anyway (where you need a desktop pc, I don't know whether the person who asked me has one).

What do you study? I'm studying computer science and have a relatively large number of electrical engineering modules, so you definitely need a laptop often. I don't know exactly how it works with my colleagues in civil engineering (we also have that), I don't know so many from the direction.
The 24h computer rooms are currently closed with us, so you definitely need some kind of computer, at least in IT and electrical engineering you can't do without it.
