Is my monitor broken?

Friends today my new monitor arrived, I connected it to my laptop to test it and then I found it. See picture.

The right side is lighter than the left.

Ps: I don't have a PC to test it at the moment.

That looks like a defective backlight

Reclaim the part

Looks like a row of LEDs is defective

Play a YouTube video and see if that's still the case.

With luck, the background image is deceptive.

But I think that the backlight panel is defective.

I would send it back and have it replaced.

It's still the same.

Then support and send it back.

The picture itself is ok.
