Seek the system recovery.
Did you install anything or make any changes to the system.
Not that I know what do you mean by "trouble shooting the system"
Windows always creates system restore points at intervals. In the Control Panel, you can then go to System Restore. This will restore the computer to its last working state. Works fine in safe mode.
If after a crashed Win-Update the computer does not start up anymore, you can use System Restore to repair the computer.
You will find everything in the control panel.
Unfortunately, there's only a system restore of 2 days ago and there was the laptop already "broken"
