I have had a smartphone for a few days now and am looking for a way to access certain IMAP folders for several e-mail accounts directly via an app icon on one of the start screens.
Basically, I want to continue working on the laptop with Thunderbird.
But, if I now carry something small smart around with me - I would have liked to call up some folders directly with just a fingertip.
With the pre-installed app "E-Mail" 9.1.0.345 I can't do it.
It would be helpful either a tip for an app (only from F-Droid or a similar repository, google is and remains locked out) or a link to a guide on the www, how to set it up with the app mentioned.
So far, I don't know of any email client as an app that supports such a function. I mean, you can subscribe to the IMAP folders you want in the common email apps. Most of the time, the standard folders (inbox, drafts, trash, sent) are also subscribed to automatically or can't be subscribed to. So I don't know of any app.
Thank you for your answer! I had created an extensive folder structure that I can easily see on the desktop / laptop, but not on the small portable display. The solution that I have now found as an alternative: two mail apps (the one mentioned and the one from the provider), each with only one mail account, both start + open the folder in question, leave both apps open. I think I will be able to get used to it!
