Ran with his LAN cable to the router and watch what the status page says. Usually with https://192.168.0.1 or so callable. Depends on the manufacturer.
What does "they do not want to help me with"? I have never experienced that they do not want to. Were you also connected to the technology? Otherwise, sign it up again and ask for the technology.
Have you already connected the devices with the Lan cable? What is then? And did you have the power plug long enough out of the router?
Is only Wi-Fi affected? What about a LAN connection and the telephone accessibility of the connection? That possibly WLAN has been disabled, you can already exclude?
