On my laptop with Windows 7, it is always the case that after the manufacturer logo and then Windows logo, the mouse briefly appears on a black screen, and then the blue Windows 7 image appears and then after "Welcome" the desktop.
Now it is the case that the boot process stops with the black image with mouse, i. It does not come the welcome screen but it stays black.
But I can move the mouse back and forth.
What could that be?
Try Windows once in safe mode. Turn on the notebook and hold the "F8" key pressed immediately after switching it on.
If Windows then goes up, you can go on troubleshooting. In the first step, you then proceed as described above, but then select "Logged" and then look at which DLL or which driver it depends.
