Laptop and charging cable are extremely noisy?

Hi, I got the Microsoft Surface 3 laptop last week. Now I was just about to plug it into the charging cable, but I noticed that the charging cable rushes extremely loudly with this box that is connected to it. It gets warm too. When I connect the laptop, the noise in the box of the charging cable stops, but then the whole laptop rustles. Should I be worried? I have to charge the laptop somehow until tomorrow, but I'm afraid something will happen now.
