Brother print job aborts

Have a Brother LC980. He has not been printing for about 1 week! The printer is connected to the laptop via USB. I have already uninstalled it and reinstalled it, installed new drivers via the Brother homepage and made an error analysis, all unsuccessful. I checked under C.//Windows/system32/spool/printer whether old orders are hanging inside but NOTHING. When I open a Word document and click on Print, the printer that is switched on and connected is displayed as ready for use. I have already set the printer as a "standard printer" in the meantime and also removed it, but a print job is permanently created, for example from Word, which is then ~ 5 seconds on hold and then disappeared into nothing. The printer itself prints out a test print or a help page, for example, when asked to do so on the printer device.

PC restarted several times and plugged in and out and USB port changed. I'm going crazy. I think it is a matter of setting on the PC, since the printer itself still prints.

And I entered this long term on the PC in the CMD console as Admin, which should reset the console, from numerous Microsoft sites. But nothing helps.

Problems with the last win update

See if there's an UpdateUpdate or uninstall the June 10 update

Which update then? I can choose from the following categories: quality updates, driver updates, other updates

Under quality update with the number "KB4557957"

Maybe you are using another PC that is still virgin in relation to your LC980.
If there's the same mistake there, then I suspect
Printer firmware problem.

If it works surprisingly with a second PC, you have to do everything with that
Printers have to remove completely. Also remove the driver update installation.

Think about the time / benefit ratio.

Borrowing another printer would also be interesting.

The last updates since the printer spins have been:

KB4561600

KB4560960

KB4497165

Could it be because of them?

So according to everything that is currently known, only the update of June 10 with such an error is the culprit.

For Win10 1909 and earlier there are already updates in circulation that eradicate the printer problem
