I would like to give my mom a laptop for Mother's Day because she is very, very slow and often just takes hours to open something, and she uses it every day. So I need a few recommendations. The laptop should contain Office 365 and everything that has to do with writing documents (everyone has anyway) It should cost between 200-300 euro and be fast. Unfortunately, I'm not at all familiar with it.
200-300 euro is not really a lot, so the second-hand market might also be an option if it was an option for you.
Depending on what is currently installed in the laptop, exchanging the hard drive for an SSD and a little more RAM could help improve the user experience - and you have saved a lot of money for a new device
Many Thanks.
Office won't be there. The question is whether a cheap full license is an option instead of a subscription model such as office 365, or do you need online access for office in order to save files online and edit them with colleagues? For 300 euro there's currently nothing good, the prices are too high at the moment
I can't recommend something to you, when I was planning something similar for the family, the prices were much better!
So it is not necessary, she could then do everything with her other laptop, but it is just so incredibly slow. I saw one from Lenovo on Saturn, but I don't know if it's good.
Lenovos are of good quality, but if it costs less than 300 euro it will be slow, do you have a link?
