I'm moving out soon and unfortunately I have no idea about technology. Hence my question to the community, because I'm completely confused by all the technical terms on provider sites and actually do not help me at all.
I want to have uncomplicated, fast and ideally inexpensive internet in my new apartment. I want to be able to easily connect my cell phone, laptop, television to it and visitors should also be able to dial in with a code to use it in my apartment.
Hence my question, what would you recommend to me, is there a good offer that you have discovered for yourself and what that covers after I ask? It would also be interesting for me whether you can pay for it once and then always have internet access, or whether it only works through contracts. By the way, I don't need any telephony in the house. Very reluctant to make calls, and if so, then on the cell phone. I would appreciate helpful answers.
Just take a look at a price comparison. There are no "tricks". The line should be as fast as possible. There are keywords like 50k, 50,000, whatever. You won't need more than 100k. So if your provider offers an even faster line (for more money), you can refuse it.
This simply means that you need an Internet / DSL contract with a wireless router. Actually every provider offers you these days. The question is which providers can deliver to your home address at all.
In general, you can check for example for https://www.check24.de/dsl/verfuegbarkeit/ and also compare suitable offers. As an individual - if you don't download frequently - 32 Mbit would probably be enough for everyday life. At 50 you would be on the safe side even with several people.
If you have cable internet (no DSL but TV cable) that is currently the fastest / much faster than DSL.
If you have cable internet, then you have saved 1 basic fee for TV and internet = 1 item.
If TV is included in the ancillary costs = saved again.
If you also order a cell phone from the TV / cable Internet provider, you will receive further discounts from the provider.
Inquire about the cost of 4 Play products (mobile phone, landline telephone, landline internet, TV reception). You get discounts if you have everything from one provider.
You can also take IPTV if you want. But everything 1 provider is cheaper.
First you should ask if and if so, which connection is available in the apartment (cable, DSL, satellite).
Then proceed as described by @Limearts.
There are also comparison portals for this
This is only possible through contracts with monthly payments, and landline phones are usually included.
Now it depends on what is installed in the new place of residence and in the new apartment: DSL, VDSL, fiber optics or cable. Every supplier of delivery contracts will tell you this if the exact address and house number are known. Before concluding the contract, however, you must check whether an existing medium has also been forwarded from the basement to the apartment within the house. Otherwise there will be additional costs.
Depending on the speed of the internet, you have to pay around 35 to 50 euro every month. An unlimited wireless internet flat rate is not affordable.
