I have the Edimax AC 1200 Nano and this can synonymous 5 Ghz signals find that has always been synonymous until I have put on Windows and now I have noticed after 2 weeks that the stick is only in 2.4 ghz signal in it.
I've also renamed the security 5ghz signal so that you know that easily and my smartphone, notebook, it is normal (ie on their own built-in WLAN modules) only with my wireless stick not.
I've already looked up everything… I've been in adapter option in there have looked if I manually activate AC times and yes I can activate it but then he finds nothing. No matter if I put it on a / b / g / n he does not show anything unless I leave it automatic then he logs into the 2.4 ghz signal.
What can I do?
Mine has never found 5 Ghz haha
I've read for you the customer reviews / reviews on Amazon.
Yes, the stick can't all 5 GHz channels, so you have to set a fixed channel for 5 GHz in the wireless router, then it should work, it is claimed.
In the router you have to set the expert mode or the advanced view to define fixed channels!
Quote (from a customer review):
- only channel 36-48, no DFS. Router / AP must be manually set to these channels, otherwise no connection.
