Since this component of the PC is very important I have some questions about it.
I know in any case that this component created the pictures, however, they tell me offt if a new game crashes I should check for video card drivers for updates, but so far I have found no explanation for neuline in the intrnet which explains something more precisely.
Where can I find that alls, file "in the pc or laptop?
And how update ch the thing without the whole pc to update?
You have to go to Device Manager… There you can supply the graphics card with the latest drivers.
Unfortunately, the device manager when I search it does not appear
And system control?
The video card driver is a software that virtually tells your operating system what the graphics card is and how to use it.
When you play a game, it is also the driver that runs the video card, e.g. In the 3D mode switches, which raises its clock, etc.
Also, the driver contains many settings for various games. If a new game does not exist in the driver as a profile, it will be loaded with the default profile. It may be that this leads to problems.
Therefore you should update the driver regularly.
The update of the driver is based on the homage of the GPU (this is the graphics chip on the graphics card). Either NVIDIA or AMD. There you download the setup file and install it.
But now I have it thanks
Do you have the device manager? Do you see the graphics card?
Yes
Double click on it… On graphics card
Yes, apparently have 2
Intel (R) HD Graphics 5500
NVIDIA GeForce 920M
Click with the right mouse button on NVIDIA GeForce 920 M and there update to driver
And then automatically search for driver software
Ah yes ok from here I know then
Have fun.
So… Since you obviously have little idea: Around the 90s, the graphics card was mainly there to create the "imaging" to the monitor… From a "GPU" knew at that time only some aliens… The graphics cards were mainly plug-in cards with own " Graphics memory "in which images were" calculated "… The main burden of the whole calculations was carried by the CPU - the processor on the motherboard…
Now the STORE was getting cheaper and, HAND-IN-HAND, thought to the manufacturers: why not own "P rocessing U nit" directly on the card, which relieves the "CPU"? Said, done… It came the first cards with GPU… (G raphic P rocessing U nit) … The processor on the motherboard, the CPU (C entral P rocessing U nit) was thereby relieved massively… THAT, thanks to the help of the software smiths (grade Microsoft), software has been developed that deals specifically with the possibilities of the GPU and supports… (DIRECTX… DIRECTDRAW) …
All for the purpose of getting the last out of the graphics card… Performance AND (!) Vendor spanning (!) …
Provide softwareROUTINES that ALL manufacturers can access (must) …
BUT: Since (actually only games) demand more and more power, every single card maker has his own "kitchen" for his "soldered" hardware - as come with EVERY (!) HARDWARE, the manufacturer-specific device drivers into play…
No matter if motherboard, graphics card or other HARDWARE… Device drivers are a manufacturer-specific SOFTWARE, which is supposed to tease the maximum out of the installed HARDWARE…
Always measured against a "STATUS QUO" of what OTHER MANUFACTURERS can afford…
THERE's THE PROBLEM…
If your manufacturer pisses your HARDWARE, or already has a NEW before market launch… Then you get, for YOUR EQUIPMENT no more drivers…
