Which dual-band Wi-Fi amplifier (repeater) can you recommend?
Internet reception and Wi-Fi come via a router from UnityMedia / Vodafone and I would like to improve the Wi-Fi strength in the back rooms (bedroom / guest room), especially since one of these rooms has another Smart TV via the Amazon Prime and Netflix can be watched. Ultimately, the WLAN should be able to handle two TVs, two smartphones and at least one laptop without any problems (at maximum load).
The price range fluctuates enormously and almost every device has both very positive and very negative reviews. That makes it very difficult to choose a device and I look forward to your answers.
Repeaters usually halve the throughput. Maybe something like this would be better:

But then it is not dual band and has to be connected to the router by cable if I read and understand it correctly (?).
The connection to the router is via the mains, otherwise you could pull a cable through the booth, which you hardly want.
You're not doing anything wrong with the Fritz Repeater 2400.
It is best to use a LAN cable directly at the router's LAN port as an access point. If it is placed higher up (on a shelf or cupboard), it has good Wi-Fi coverage, then you can even switch off the router Wi-Fi, then the Wi-Fi networks do not compete with each other.
If that is not enough with the LAN cable, you can use it "normally" without a LAN cable as a WLAN repeater, placed halfway in the desired direction of your apartment.
As you can see, the Fritz Repeater 2400 is very versatile.
