I live in a three-story apartment (above is the amplifier, below is the router)
Now my problem is that when I go with my mobile zb from top to bottom this apparently still in the top of the repeater is logged in and not below in the nearer wireless router. The repeater is also not intended for mobile phones, as it has good reception everywhere, even without a repeater, but rather for laptops etc.
So can one adjust so that the mobile phone (Android, Oreo) refers only from the router below its Internet and not up from the repeater?
Lock the mobile's Mac number. Hope the repeater can do that?
Depends on the repeater.
I can set my repeater so that the SSID and also the password are not identical with the originally amplified network. Therefore, I see where he logs in or if I do not save the SSID and password in a device, it can never log in to the repeater.
Which repeater do you have?
Manufacturer
model
Hardware version (if noted)
This problem is resolved only with wireless networks that use MESH technology.
If you want to control which device logs on to the repeater and which not, then you have to assign your own SSID in the repeater.
Then you can target both access points.
