I set up the device via Schnellinstalation, everything works perfectly. The device is placed in a place where it still receives full reception from the fritz router 7590 (i.e. About half the distance to the problem areas in the house). However, my Wi-Fi is now extremely slow, although the repeater shows that it is receiving full reception (5 bars) from the router. Have fiber optics with 400 Mbit line and partially weak corners with reception in the house (therefore repeater attempt). According to glasfaer speedtest, only 1 mbit is received (no matter if cellphone or laptop), i take the repeater out of the socket and try on the weak corners the test comes up again like before the use of the repeater there 8 mbit. Fritzbox shows the repeater and in the tp link menu everything is also on "connected" (Wi-Fi network is also correct). A reset and renewed installation were also unsuccessful with the same miserable result. Even at the places where I previously had 200 Mbit over Wi-Fi without a repeater, only 1 / 8th of the power is now available (repeater out and bang… Full power again).
I'm at a loss!
For something like that you also use a repeater that uses one antenna for receiving the router and one for the WLAN to be passed on
You have to set up your own new WLAN with the TP, since it is not in an AVM Mesh system, otherwise two WLANs with identical names will get in the way
How does it work with your own Wi-Fi for the repeater?
I had to manually configure the last TP-Link that I set up, i.e. Connect it to the notebook via a cable, call up the user interface and then set everything there so that it uses the 5GHz band for communication with the router and the 2.4GHz Tape for the end devices
