the frame of my laptop is peeling off as you can see i have already tried it with adhesive tape but when opening the device it keeps bending
Don't close that thing anymore. Acer has absolutely lousy quality. I had the same notebook (Nitro?) And went through exactly the same thing. The plastic on the hinge is then broken. My ex-old went through the same thing with her Acer.
My tip: sell this thing as fast as you can, before more breaks.
Ok, the problem is I bought this laptop to take it with me, now it's like a stationary pc, can't you do anything?
It's an aspire 5 i think
In my experience, this will only get worse.
Ok that's… Lousy
Is that a sign that it will go even more broken or will it stay with plastic for the first time
I think the plastic on the hinge will soon come off. Then it is only attached to the right side. Otherwise one can't infer any other defects per se.
For me, buttons and the graphics card have also said goodbye.
OK
The hinge is a problem on most laptops, of course. The lid with the monitor is made of plastic. The hinge and the inner frame are made of metal. But the frame has to be connected to the plastic somewhere. And this is where the forces of movement act when opening and closing. It is also logical that the plastic gets more and more play over time, and then at some point cracks at the weakest point.
I also had the problem. At the point on the lid, I pulled three threaded screws through the hinge from the back to the front and screwed them flush with nuts on the other side. Then secured with clear varnish and the break point sealed with a suitable filler.
I can now continue to use my LT as an LT (until the other side starts).
However, every LT also has a monitor connection, so you can always connect an external monitor. Switching it on could be a problem, however, because you still have to open the LT a little.
Unless you can find a way to turn the LT on without opening the lid.
