I'm selling a laptop on ebay classifieds and someone from England wants it?

This is the first time that I'm selling something on eBay classifieds and am therefore a little scared.

The buyer wants my laptop, but it has been shipped to England.

I made it clear to him that I only ship within Germany. But he said that he will pay for the shipping himself.

How can i believe him? I also have his cell phone number now, which is definitely from England.

This is 99% a scam.

Go inside yourself, why would someone from England want to buy a laptop in the German eBay classifieds?

Ke

I made it clear to him that I only ship within Germany

then do that too. Why does an Englishman want to buy a Läppi from you, especially since the keyboard is not suitable for the UK.

if ONLY transfer to your bank account.

I think that's bad, you should be ripped off.

Block the and stay with "Versand Deutschland" - better still:

Goods for cash on site - just like the classifieds are intended.

About England sounds like "Nigeria Connection".

Leave it!

The trick is that he'll offer you the money for transportation. Then you accept and you will receive an explanation as to why you should advance the transport costs. You do it - and the lake rests quietly for all time.

Classic scam - we recently had slightly more expensive armchairs. When the request to display the transport costs (200 EUR) came, we jumped out. After that, the alleged buyer became really pushy.

Did the request come from eBay classifieds or via WhatsApp? With us, the "expression of interest" surprisingly came via WhatsApp… US number.

Let it stay - you are losing money.

Break off contact immediately, this is a clear and well-known attempt at fraud!
You will receive the alleged mail from a bank that the money has been transferred and that you will get it the moment you post a package tracking number.

Everything fake. No bank in the world does such business. It is not a bank's job to check the shipment.

It always works like that. It's an old scam. Sellers in good faith then send off without realizing that they should be cheated. And that's it then - you never hear anything again, money never comes and you are rid of your article.

The safest combination is cash payment on collection.

And if you still really want to send:

Only offer payment by SEPA transfer to your account.
Don't offer PayPal; not by goods and services, not by Family & Friends, not at all.
Do not react to alleged emails from banks, but only send them after you have convinced yourself that the money has actually been received in your account.
Only send with tracked delivery.
