I think that's not so bad. These are mostly business devices with 1 year warranty.
With regard to the battery, it is up to you how important your staying power is. During my studies I had always been able to connect my laptop to a power outlet.
The laptops in this category have CAD-compatible graphics cards in them and randomly RAM.
