I want to buy a laptop for school and private stuff. Luckily a Mac book. But unfortunately I can't afford a new one. Therefore, I search on eBay for a used one in my book. But the only ones are built in 2013. Buy or not?
Take a MacBook Pro 2013 instead
We always buy used. Ours is from 2012 and works great. Especially with Apple, it's not so easy, a device through the software to "scrap" I say now… Except if you want it of course. However, I have to say that I would stay away from such expensive devices on Ebay… But I have to say that I have no experience on Ebay with MacBooks. There are certainly sellers who sell properly, but you never know. Maybe you have a friend of the one sold… Then you know that you buy something decent
