I have an Rtx 2060, 16gb ram and i7 9750h on my laptop. Everything runs extremely well and smoothly. Will that be the case with a 4k monitor for games and other things?
If the hdmi has 2.0, then very likely

No will not work. The Rtx 2060 (laptop) is 15-30% worse than the Rtx 2060 (desktop) in most games. The Rtx 2060 (desktop) brings about 30-50 fps with "4k" games. Playing a game (Rtx 2060 laptop) at 10-20 fps doesn't really make sense. In addition, your laptop gets very warm over time, which results in a performance drop.

4K is possible with HDMI 1.4, but only with 30Fps. With HDMI 2.0 (4K 60Hz) should not cause any problems. Mini-DisplayPort 1.2 supports a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
