Laptop USB C retrofittable?

I have a really good laptop (I think ) Toshiba P50-A-14F

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a docking station with this device.

I just want to be able to set up / remove the laptop without plugging in and unplugging all the cables.

Solution: USB-C (at least only one cable) and this leads to a hub where monitors, power, etc… Are connected.

THE QUESTION: can you "simply" retrofit something like that? Technically and technically I have no problem, I can do that. But if it's even possible… I do not know.

I really hope that you can help me!

Purely hypothetically, it is possible to connect an adapter to USB Type C to an internal PCI-E port. But I do not think you'll find anything like that (except maybe on alibaba directly from China).

Better buy a new notebook with docking station or USB Type C integrated.

Alternative: USB 3.0 use + a hub for it. Thunderbolt is also supposed to be the same as USB Type C but is pretty rare.

What do you want to connect a separate monitor on the laptop?

current and possibly an external monitor can't be done via USB, everything else can be controlled with a central USB hub (pay attention to your own power supply).

if the second monitor does not play any role, so you turn off now a usb and the power cable off. It does not seem like a huge effort.

and if you want to save your battery if necessary, you can leave the power cord as long as he has load capacity. Or take it out with continuous mains operation, which damages the battery for a long time.

I've already thought about this with a USB3.0 hub. Would be simple. My wish would have been only synonymous to enable the power supply via USB C…

I thought you can regulate the power supply via USB C… Or am I lying there wrong?

I would like to connect 2 monitors per hub, also 2 USB3.0 hard drives and just keyboard, mouse, LAN, etc…

The laptop is traveling with me a lot and just turn it off to plug in a cable… That would have been nice.
