Hope an IT professional can help me. Thanks in advance!
Briefly about my problem:
My laptop does not connect to the home network with the comment: "Can't connect to the network"
I went through all of the following internet help:
Restart router - problem persists
Restart laptop - problem persists
manual WLAN switch off and on again - problem persists
Connect LAN cable - problem solved (but wants to work in my office… Not in the living room)
Update the drivers of the network cards - drivers up-to-date, problem still there
Delete network profiles and create them again - problem still there
Reset IP - problem still there
Network troubleshooter - problem still there
So: laptop shows all available networks, but neither uses the home Wi-Fi nor the guest Wi-Fi. Then after "Connection is being established" it will show "Connection to the network can't be established"… Only uses the guest WLAN if I configure it without password protection.
Also takes the mobile phone hotspot, even with a password.
Router settings reconfigured, reset and even renamed WLAN, different PW, different security measures… Errors still there.
Can there be a problem with my laptop's Wi-Fi card?
Or what else can I do to fix the problem?
So… I also have that more often, often at the handy hotspot. Is your Wi-Fi limited to a maximum number of users? Then it comes. You could also use your cell phone as an extender, but that's just getting slow…
I would try it like this: attach with the cable, go through the settings of the router 20 times, if that doesn't work, turn off all devices that are connected to the Wi-Fi, try again.
The number of users is not limited. Other devices in the WLAN: only 1. The rest is connected to the network via LAN.
