Stick bought recently, laptop only last week, it recognizes the stick because I can enter the command to eject the stick and then get an answer. But it doesn't show it in the explorer. I always signed off properly with ejecting a stick. What could that be? Evt errors when setting up the laptop?
Try starting up the laptop with the cord tucked in. It helped me.
Does the stick run on another PC?
Open Disk Management and see whether the stick has a file system and a volume is available.
Otherwise format and create partition / volume.

Can now open Disk Management. However, under the line where data carrier 0 is located, there's no more field than if there could be no data carrier 1.
