My display is broken and I can't enter my PIN from the SIM card, so I wanted to ask whether you can somehow operate your mobile phone through the Mac laptop? I have DeX, but I can't get approval if the pin has not yet been entered. I can't install Teamviewer either because I don't have access to it. I would have to operate my cell phone from my laptop. Can someone help me?
Not that I desert because it doesn't work with win either.
What kind of smartphone do you have? IPhone or Android?
And can you see the display and only the touchscreen does not work or is the display black?
I have a Samsung Galaxy s20 Ultra and yes, I can see the screen but I can't operate the touchscreen.
Ok simple solution: If you have a Samsung, the packaging most likely came with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. If not, these can be bought for little money. Use the and connect a conventional computer mouse via USB. Then you will see a mouse pointer and can operate the smartphone that way.
Regarding the possibility of controlling the smartphone via a MacBook: I see some problems there. Apple is not necessarily compatible with other devices by default. I myself (Windows) use SCRPY (Screencopy). This works without additional apps and drivers, but requires USB debugging to be enabled and the connected device to be trusted. Of course, this can't be set if the touchscreen does not work.
PS: The adapter should look like this:
Thank you then will i buy a mouse for my cell phone? Or? Did I understand that correctly? 🙈 well then that will probably be the case, thanks again.
If you have the adapter, you can connect any type of USB device to your smartphone. This is primarily intended for USB sticks, for example, but as I said, you can connect a conventional computer mouse. You don't need a "special" mouse for this.
