I have a laptop with an Intel Core I7 3610QM (4 core) and an Nvidia Geforce GT 630M / Intel HD Graphics 4000. RAM 16 GB DDR3
My problem is that my laptop is losing more and more power every day… The load is not even over 90% of the CPU and the GPU… What could be the reason?
Your registry is probably becoming increasingly littered. There's a separate registry cleaner for this.
Sometimes defragmenting the storage medium can also help.
However, it may even make sense to set up the entire system from scratch.
Dust and dirt generate more heat, so the components are clocked less quickly.
The battery drops if you don't plug it in, which also limits the hardware.
And then all the trash that has accumulated over time.
I like to do a clean reinstallation of Windows once a year. I save all important things on a USB or external hard drive and then freshen everything up.
I do the defragmentation every day… Should the laptop need it. Thank you anyway! I'll take a look at the cleaners
The laptop is clean. Also from the inside… I clean the fans and the fins regularly. The laptop is only connected to the electricity… The battery is still there, but always use it on the power supply. Reinstall Windows would be an idea!
Reinstall Windows or let Malwarebytes overflow
Do you already realize that he is getting on in years? And almost 10 years are no cardboard stuff.
The application is becoming more and more demanding and this is at the expense of such an old CPU that only has a weak IPC performance.
Otherwise, install NEW w10 and above all use an SSD.
NOTE: A defragmentation destroys an SSD if you should have one (sometimes it doesn't do any harm, but NEVER daily).
Perhaps it could help to delete the files in the% temp% folder and let a cleaner overflow. Also restart the laptop, that always helps!
