How best to clean Windows 7 PC from data garbage without losing data or programs? My laptop is getting slower?
Win7 has its own program for this called Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe).
You can find this in the Start menu under Programs → Accessories → System programs

Defragmentation would also be an advantage (This does not delete anything, but simply merges the data blocks together so that the read / write head on the hard disk does not have to drive back and forth so wildly (brings computer speed) while disk cleanup does not bring as much (but does not take that long either)

A slow laptop usually means that there are too many background processes running or that they interfere with each other. This is a common reason, especially if there are viruses that work in the background.
The most sensible thing in your case would be to back up your data and then reinstall Windows 10. The device then runs as fast as on the day of delivery. 😊
Install SSD and install Windows 10.
Yes, that would be the best, because an SSD is around 10x faster for Windows & programs than a conventional HDD hard drive. In addition, after a Windows reinstallation, every problem is fixed anyway. You would have 2 flies "with one stone":-)
