As of today, Sims 4 won't open on my laptop. I have already tried running as administrator and the compatibility mode, but there was no improvement. The game failed on Origin. Because the play button is gray.

There was already such a question that after an update the game could no longer start.
Did you update this game? It is possible that files could no longer be loaded after this update, i.e. Game files were damaged as a result.
Try checking the game files for errors. Simply right-click the game on Origin and go to "Check game files for errors". The files should then be analyzed once. If an error has crept in, the files will be downloaded again.
If that doesn't work: reinstall the game!
There could also be a conflict with the graphics drivers. An update on this could help a lot!
