Is there a home remedy to clean everything up?
Or can I just clean the screen and keyboard with a damp cloth?
Screen I would clean with a cloth (eg glasses cleaning cloth) or extra LCD Cleaner
Keyboard can be cleaned with a brush, in the gaps.
Otherwise use a damp, not wet, cloth.
NEVER use a lens cleaning cloth for a monitor. They are usually all too aggressive.

Food and other fluffy remains from the keyboard you get out with a light tap, while turning the laptop (keyboard down). As soon as moisture gets on the contacts (such as under the keys) corrosion can occur there, then a contact problem and the button may not work properly in three weeks.
Means: from "wet rag" I advise urgent.
Clean according to dirt type:
Start by powering down and unplugging the device. Then turn over and shake in all directions. In this case, many particles fall out: dander, hair,. Do not push the laptop on the table, but the hands, which also absorb the shock.

Now comes the allowed humidity: alcohol. Moisten cotton swabs and brush away the hand fat with it. If you have a high-quality keyboard, then the keys can simply be removed and clipped on again. Make sure that the direction after the clipping is correct again because the keys are not symmetrical. For example, at I and O. Do not unplug all the buttons at the same time if you're not a puzzle friend.
If you have parts where you can remove the electronics: Unscrew, remove and put the plastic in soapy water overnight.

On the monitor is enough wet cloth and a little Spüli. This dissolves fat best. Then dry with a fiber-free cloth.
Spüli makes a jar. A "damp" cloth does not drip. That just makes a "wet" rag.
I have the things from my optician who told me I should not touch my glasses with anything sharp. Otherwise she would be scratched. I'm afraid my glasses cost much more than my monitor (screen work is bad for the eyes…).

Always use LCD Cleaner, even for my glasses and it works 1A. Have in recent years, no damage to the glasses thereby let alone on the monitors.
