You have to wait longer. DO NOT turn off the computer. It's just there, after all. How long you have to wait depends on many factors and can't be assessed more precisely. For me it took 2 hours, for another device 4 hours.

If I had such a problem personally, I would of course cancel - but only because I make regular backups of which I would play the most recent one back. (Heard faster than this junk!)
Unfortunately, you can never assume that the platform will create backups here on the platform. 🤷♂️
