For some time now I have had the problem that my keyboard constantly "skips" a few letters when typing (for example I enter "saxophone" and it only comes out "Sxopn") and my built-in mouse sometimes moves slowly, sometimes quickly when I do use my finger to wipe
At first I thought it was a simple hardware error, which is why I always connected an additional mouse + keyboard to my laptop.
Then, however, I found that both components worked again at some point. This always happens very randomly after I have used the laptop for a while and only lasts until the next reboot. Then both spin again.
I have tried installing the mouse + keyboard drivers a few times, but it never worked (just like a factory reset).
I also had the computer search for driver updates or use the command line for possible problems. However, everything is said to be intact.
I ask for helpful answers.
Please check the BIOS and chipset drivers for updates.
I have now found out which BIOS version I have, but how do I check for updates? My BIOS Ver:

I didn't know where to find the chipset driver in Device Manager, so I downloaded the CPU-Z application to show me this.
When I clicked "Check for Driver Updates" there, she forwarded me to DriverFix. There I can now update all my outdated drivers. Is this application trustworthy?
How do I recognize the chipset driver among all the drivers, i.e. Under which category is it marked? There are e.g. Several about "system devices".
You can get the latest bios and chipset drivers on the manufacturer's page of the PC.
I have an ASUS laptop. Can I find the drivers on the ASUS homepage?
Driverfix has listed all the outdated drivers for me. Can I trust Driverfix for this list?
You should find all the drivers required for the device available for download from ASUS.
I don't know "DriverFix". I use the "Driver Booster" from Iobit. It is reliable and keeps my PC up to date. And he does not download the drivers for me from the manufacturer of the PC.
