Drinking on laptop keyboard is spinning?

Last night Robby bubbles ran out on the laptop, it was not much I wiped everything up right away. He left after that and everything was fine, but two / three hours later he started to spin, I turned it off, wiped it off and wanted to turn it back on, but then he did not turn it on, so I left it on overnight put the heater (my father told me I should do that) and just as I tried it he went but spinning the mouspad and the keyboard, with no buttons and key combos are accepted, I have now fetched my external keyboard and but the mouse and attached can't type anything because my laptop is typing a c all the time, what can I do there? Apart from unscrewing and replacing keyboard as this is not possible in the near future

Never drink anything when working on a laptop. Do not eat anything. You can try changing the keyboard, but it may well be that the thing is simply gone.

If you had "only" run out of water with an immediate shutdown and then a two-day dry leave had opportunities that the thing might still work but sticky stuff where you do not turn off immediately is usually all possible broken.

There are probably the contacts glued, but you should not drink the stuff: https://www.derstandard.de/story/2000068003650/achtung-rueckruf-von-robby-bubble-kinder-sekt

Okey thanks

You can remove the keyboard and operate the book with an external USB keyboard. If everything is normal, you can leave it that way and order a new keyboard on eBay. In the worse case, the book can dry out and can with a larger brush clean the board with contact spray and also let it dry again. With this keyboard, the notebook should no longer start, risk of short circuit, because now fly not the scraps, but in a short circuit spins the device then more and more to the complete defect of a component. Nevertheless, I wish you Merry Christmas, do not let your head hang.

I try it thanks

@Fragesteller:

Moisture particles "worked their way" slowly into the interior of the laptop and thus entered the electronic interior.

I.d.R. The result = firing of electronic mostly highly sensitive components (IC's), etc. Because of short circuit.

What either leads to no more functions (the device is virtually dead) or - as apparently in this case - there are various malfunctions. Whereby consequential damage can result.

self-repair

In fact, not feasible (especially not technically versed) Here, it needs except good expertise and mostly div special tools (including special screwdriver and good soldering iron and corresponding electronic spare parts) Where I formulated this point very briefly.

Place the affected device on the heater to allow it to dry out

Well meant, but you.a. Because of the heat development inside the device at least questionable. Keyword "consequential damage due to excessive mechanical heating".

If this happens (spilling drinks into the device)

, IF device in operation = IMMEDIATELY switch off and disconnect from the power supply

, Or - as other Girlfriend users said - ALL liquid not even in the immediate vicinity of such devices "park" or use.

You are welcome
