I have a laptop with a UHD screen, which my GraKa can't handle, regardless of the operating system. That's why I always set the monitor to 1080p and it still went well, until today. I installed OpenSUSE and turned down the resolution as usual. But then the control bar, the window bar and the icons on the desktop were much too big. I already set the font to 96 DPI in the settings, which worked for the window bar and the icons on the desktop, but the control bar is still a bit big.
It should also be noted that the display only supports 48Hz, but only 60Hz and 120Hz can be selected in the display settings.
Can you post the output of 'lspci' in a shell? We may then first find out what kind of graphics card is installed.
